3 Most Common Exercise Excuses – Busted!

Is staying fit really that difficult? Every day, a good majority of people spend their time working out for a healthier and fit body, while another half looks for reasons or rather excuses to avoid exercising. The question here arises, Is Staying Fit Really That Difficult and Time Consuming? Here are 3 excuses most people are usually seen giving when asked about their exercise schedules.

  1. “I don’t have time.”

If something is a priority, you will find a way to make it happen. I always find it ironic how the busiest people I know always seem able to squeeze in the time to workout. It’s a myth that it takes a lot of time to workout. You can get a great workout in 20 minutes or less without even leaving your house. If you have a particularly busy day, try jumping rope for 15 minutes or popping in a workout DVD at home.

  1. “There isn’t a gym near my house/office.”

You can get into the best shape of your life without stepping foot in a gym. Your body is the best piece of equipment. As I mentioned above, workout DVDs are a great option to help you get in shape without a gym membership. You can also go for a run or just find a routine like this one online to do at home or at a park.

  1. “I don’t know how to exercise or even where to begin.”

Exercise is not rocket science. The hardest part is simply getting started. If you really have no idea how to be active, do a bit of research online, buy a fitness magazine, enroll in a fitness program, or hire a personal trainer. Unless your doctor has specifically told you that you should not exercise at all, start by taking a walk around the block. There are also various exercise apps and workout videos that will take you through entire workouts based on your fitness level and goals.

Choosing not to exercise is just that, a choice. Ditch the excuses, and join in workouts to look and feel fit and fabulous. Remember, fit is the one look that never goes out of style. Happy Exercising!!!
