6 Skin Sins – Stop These Bad Habits Right Away

Some skin care habits that you think are helping may actual doing much harm to your skin. Overdoing these habits may damage your skin in long time.

 Tugging at the delicate skin surrounding the eye area

Area near your eyes has the most sensitive and delicate skin. Do not rub aggressively while removing eye makeup. Pulling skin while wearing lenses or applying eyeliner can cause wear and tear of collagen and other elastic fibers inside your skin. This can develop wrinkles at an early age. So make sure you handle this area carefully.

Misting, not wiping your skin when using toner

While applying toner on your skin it is important to use wiping motion. The toners are designed specially to remove salts, chemicals and dust. When you do misting, you are merely diluting chemicals rather than removing them. It is advisable to use alcohol-free toner and wipe with cotton cloth or pad.

Rubbing skin aggressively with wash cloth

Use a facial sponge or a wash cloth to remove makeup in the evening. Do not rub the skin too aggressively with wash cloth. This may cause skin irritation, creates wear and tear for skin elasticity and my stimulate Melanie cells that causes brown spots on the skin.

Not washing your face int he morning

The skin needs different products according to the seasons. In spring, deep cleansing and ex-foliating products helps skin to revive. In summer, you need to protect the skin from sun with sunscreen and antioxidants. In winters, your focus should be on making the skin moisturized using hydrating products.

Picking at your skin

Trying to make an acne or small blemish go away makes your skin worse. So not ever try picking your skin. Messing with it can cause red, dark scar that may last for months. So, it is better to leave that blemish and conceal it with makeup untill it gets heal.
