Mr. Viswanath Raju is the co-founder of an adventure travel marketplace – Mojhi, where he currently heads the Marketing and sales functions. He holds a B.Tech degree from IIT-Roorkee and an MBA degree from IIM-Indore. Before embarking on his entrepreneurial journey with Mojhi, Viswanath worked for Multi-nationalslike IBM, Wipro and Vizury. At Vizury, he worked with marquee accounts like Amazon, Flipkart, Ctrip for their remarketing campaigns.
Viswanath is a certified Whitewater Kayaker and has paddled down several white water rivers in India, Nepal and Europe. Being an avid backpacker, Mr. Raju has explored over 40 countries in Asia, Africa and Europe.
From his travel experiences, he realized the need for a platform where adventure enthusiasts can hand-pick the adventure tour packages from local tour operators. Though there were few existing intermediaries offering adventures across destinations, these intermediaries either charge a huge commission or often partner with operators with questionable service quality. Therefore, the business model of Mojhi was intuitively designed by Viswanath and his co-founders to create a platform where customers can easily compare and book packages from verified local tour operators.
At Mojhi, Viswanath handles the responsibility of marketing and sales functions and is a key player in driving the companies growth in all its keys markets. He epitomizes the driving force at Mojhi which is continually driving the company a step closer to its major goal to become a go-to brand for all alluring adventure travel destinations across the globe.
