Review

Love stories have a special place in the hearts of all Indian film-makers and cinema lovers. Right from Mughal-e-azam to Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak or any other recent epic love story, viewers have loved them all. However, there was a reason why they were loved. When we compare Heropanti to these films, there lays a lot of similarity in them. So, does Heropanti also hit the right notes? Well, let’s see what the film has to offer all its viewers.

The story is the hindi remake of Telegu hit film Purugu with a few additional twists nd turns to suit the bollywood lovers. Prakash Raj plays the role of the angry father whose elder daughter runs away with her boyfriend just minutes before her marriage. Chaudhary’s men start searching her and in return kidnap the guy’s friends, including Bablu (tiger). He falls in love with Dimpy, the younger daughter of Chaudhary and then starts a series of family clashes, drama and violence. The ending of the film resembles DDLJ, but modified nicely to suit the current scenario.

The script is little weak but still manages to keep you on your seats without getting bored. Talking of performances, Tiger Shroff flaunts his perfectly sculpted body well in the film and does every stunt without any body double. He is highly trained in gymnastics and martial arts which make him strong in all his action scenes. Kriti Sanon handles her role perfectly. She earlier made her debut in a Telugu film, Nenokkadine opposite Superstar Mahesh Babu.

Overall, the film is well made and almost every character plays their role perfectly.
