A leaning towards design and creativity was present from a very young age in both of us. Fashion design came into the picture when Bhumika got into NIFT.

Bhumika – I used to design a new outfit for myself every weekend and get the home based tailor to tailor it to my specifications . I had true passion for fashion even before I knew what a fashion designer is.

It’s a India to the world label. At the moment we are building very traditional collection using the artisan techniques from different part of the country and making them fashionable. We also have a global line which is designed for a person living abroad as well as for clients who want a more modern feel.

It was amazing. This was our global line which we normally showcase abroad at this time of the year. This year we chose to showcase it in India.

Wearing a very traditional outfit on the wedding day, wearing a Indo western outfit on the engagement, wearing a kalidaar on sangeet or mehendi and wearing funky Indian with low backs and innovative cuts on the smaller occasions . Receptions see more floor lenghts and gowns or a saree.

We are doing a US tour this month, thereafter opening in Mumbai next month and then the launch of a new bridal line followed by fashion week and the list goes on.

We love designing for all our celebrity clients and in fact they pick up our outfits regularly. Most recently Kareena Kapoor wore one of our outfits in a major campaign.

Inspiration could come from our heritage, architecture, creative people around you, craft techniques, nature or current happenings.

Basic westerns casuals and formals, basic Indian casuals and westerns, along with some unique outfits that you can flaunt when the day demands.

Its becoming more professional and going places .
