Here’s what Indian Women need to learn from the Movie PINK:

1. To Be Bold

One has to be bold enough to fight for the cause that gave you nightmares. Stop not, even if you are being probed with naked questions. If you are right, there’s no one and nothing that can stop provided, you have the boldness and courage to fight back and to even listen to the world’s dirty statements. Dialogues in a movie would make your jaw drop for showing the reality that happens and is covered till date.

“Are you a virgin?” Amitabh Bachchan, asks Meenal (Taapsee Pannu) in an interrogation session in court.

2. No Gender Bias

Movie treats women as human beings, there’s no special treatment or soft behavior conduct for being a women. They show the other side of the coin where even women can be a victim and can also be culprits, mistakes can be their baked cookies too. Here you would see the female protagonists are not treated with buttery language. However, filled with all sarcasm the movie stands tall against Women exploitation and gender inequality.

“aap toh experienced lagti hain,”  Amitabh Bachchan in courtroom to one of the leading ladies.

3. To Be Independent

Instead of looking outside for help and support the movie asks you to be a backbone to yourself. You never know who can turn their back on you at the time when you need them the most and thus it teaches you to be independent, to be bold and if required even go ferociously dirty to prove yourself, your truth in the courtroom. Be yourself, the right way! I am angry, not a victim and motivated! This is PINK!

When we save our boys only then will our girls be safe,” says Bachchan in courtroom argument. (Sarcasm in movie)

4. To Stop Being A Hypocrite!

If you are a feminist, that means you are fighting for the equal rights of women and not demeaning any men’s rights. It do not allow you to take advantage of mens situation for your favor. If you are asking for equality, do not expect to be treated well when in the courtroom! PINK taught us to stop being coy of your sexual desires, if we want to fight the men taking advantage of our shyness. Yes, we are humans, it’s normal to have sex and we like it!

“Bandiyon ko aukat batate rehna chahiye,” says one of the goons.

5. To Stop Being Judgemental!

Your clothes do not define your character, neither does your language. If women come home late after partying hard with friends, do not mean she has had sex with the guys. If she is wearing a skirt and a tight top that shows off her cleavage, it does not drop her character. So, be what you are. Do what you love, and let the society, the judgemental padoswali aunty talk about it. We often judge woman from the clothes she wears and poss lewd comments but this movie will stop you from that.

“Ladkiyan akeli rahengi to aisa hi hoga,” said the neighbours of the three ladies.
