Now brand ambassadors of the Beti Bachao Movement initiated by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, these twin sisters had a hard time in the beginning. The journey of their adventurous sport began as a hobby when they joined a course at the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering in Uttarkashi in 2009. Driven by their interests, they joined the Institute in 2010 and reached Mt. Rudugaira. They then determined to set foot on Mt. Everest however, their mother was much worried and resistant to the big goal. To get an official green signal they proved their potential by scoring very good in exams by 2012. With this, their once opposing mother, now took a loan to fulfill their dream; their father, an army man was no less supportive. He put all his savings to fund the passion. Since then, there was no looking back for the Malik sisters, they climbed Mt. Everest on 19th May 2013 and went on and on.

Their achievement is a marvelous example of women power. They proved nothing is impossible if you walk along with hard work, determination and perseverance, no matter whether you are a Boy or a Girl.

We wish you our hearty congratulations and prayers to climb more such endeavors and inspire the world. Keep Going!!
