The Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Taj is the symbol of love from a husband to his wife. Here are some amazing facts about Taj Mahal:

  • The land on which Taj Mahal stands tall is a gift from Raja Jai Singh grandson of Raja Man Singh of Amber.
  • The local market of Taj Ganj or Tage Gunje was built in same in which Taj Mahal was built.
  • Taj used to be the meeting place for Indians and British. Banquets during the meetings were organized in Mahiman Khana.
  • Dr John Murray was the first person to take photographs of the beautiful Taj Mahal in the late 1840s.
  • “I cannot tell you what I think, for I know not how to criticize such a building, but I can tell you what I feel. I would die tomorrow to have such another over me,” is one of the most beautiful remarks that the Taj Mahal has received by wife of Captain Sleeman.
