I Have Been Performing On Stage Way Before I Started Playback Singing – Aditi Singh Sharma

I have fronted two bands in Delhi, Crimson (where we covered rock) & Level 9 (where we covered pop / blues) genres of music, while I was hosting the Jack Daniels Rock Awards 2007 I met Ehsaan (SEL) & they called me to Mumbai to sing for HighSchool Musical 2. Soon after I played a gig in Mumbai which Amit Trivedi attended & I got to sing my 1st playback song in Dev.D & the journey has continued.

Well, I've always been the only singer in all the bands I've fronted. So, I guess for me its a very regular thing.

My first song was with Amit & it got me my first award too (Mirchi Music)...After which I got 2 other amazing songs to sing with him. I always feel it’s so special when a music director calls you back to sing something else of his regular style. And I am a big fan of his work and its very special to be a part of his team.

That’s always a tough one! Honestly, I love them all. I have been very lucky to have recorded super slamming songs with all the super heroes in the music industry. Amit Trivedi with Dilli Dilli, Yahi Meri Zindagi & Aali Re. Ram Sampath with Luv Ka The End, Freak Out & the Airtel jingle, Shankar Ehsaan Loy with Kaun Hai Ajnabi, Pinacolada & OFFO, Pritam with Raabta, Ill Do The Talking, Dhoom & Blame The Night, Himesh Reshammiya with Madhushala & Mango, Raghu Dixit with Dheaon Dheaon & Gulcharrey, Salim - Sulaiman with Heroine, Sohail Sen with Choomantar... phewww!! Such a crazy awesome list! Even the listeners have trouble choosing their favourite song & I definitely can’t!!! I love them all.

I don’t have the time as of now and my friends are very happy when I cook for them in my free time & I get a lot of support from the fans whenever I put up any photos on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook... So, I am still experimenting on my cooking and trying to get better.
