Strawberry Almond Valentine Cake
Ingredients
- 2 cups

- 1/4 tsp
- 1 1/2 cups
- 1 1/2 cups
- 1 tsp
- 1/2 cup
Method of Preparation
- Take a round baking tin and dust it lightly with flour and keep aside.
- Sift all-purpose flour, baking powder and baking soda through a sieve and keep aside.
- In a separate bowl whisk fresh cream, condensed milk and almond essence together until well combined.
- Pour the flour mixture slowly into the cream mix and combine well. Add milk and gently mix again.
- Transfer the cake batter into the baking tin and place it in a pre-heated oven at 180 degree Celsius for 30 minutes.
- Prick with a toothpick in the middle of the cake to check if it’s done.
- Allow the cake to rest on a cooling rack for an hour.
- After the cake has cooled down cover it with whipped cream. Coat the sides with almond flakes and top it with fresh strawberries.
- PS- This is a light eggless version for a tea time cake. It is not very sweet and a tastes perfect with afternoon teas.
