With a Strong storyline, Excellent direction and Powerful performances, Airlift is a movie not to be missed at all!

The year 2016 now seems to have finally started for the Bollywood industry. The movie, actually lives up to all your expectations, making you feel proud of being an INDIAN, an apt emotion with the Republic Day approaching in the coming week.

Airlift, is a real life story about one of the biggest evacuations ever which originally occurred in the 1990s when the Iraqi army invaded the beautiful and peaceful town of Kuwait. Almost 170,000 Indians residing in Kuwait were evacuated and airlifted during the Iraq-Kuwait war. It is one story that needs to be told to the audience, who for now love realistic films more than the filmi drama stuff.

Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur play the lead roles in the movie. Their powerful performances along with the realistic storyline actually make the film gripping. Even the Supporting starcast comprising of Purab Kohli, Feryna Wazheir, Lena, Prakash Belawadi and Kumud Mishra do a fantastic task, shining brightly in their roles. However, it is actually Akshay and Nimrat who spark life into this absolutely raw and perfectly laid out story.

Akshay Kumar plays the role of a Kuwait based Indian Business Tycoon, Ranjit Katiyal who loves his life in Kuwait, or is rather proud being called a Kuwaiti. However, his life takes a big turn when the Iraqi soldiers invade the city, destroying and killing Kuwaitis. The second half of the film is shaky and too emotional. You will love it right from the start till it’s very end.

Above all, it is one film you should watch without a miss.
