Review

The creepy background music, dark scenes, a romantic couple and a haunting spirit! This is exactly what the story of Alone is about. Adapted from a Thai movie with the same name, Alone is perhaps The Film that will change the face of Indian Horror movies. The script is much better than other horror flicks and has been well directed to give it the right stage. Trust me, you will feel scared at times and have goosebumps all over your body during certain scenes of the film (Oh, well you will also see yourself laughing at a few scenes). The script has an interesting twist which will surely surprise you.

The special effects in the film are really commendable and manage to scare you a bit. The songs in the film are meaningless and simply show the couple romancing each other. Bipasha Basu, who has now been tagged as the Horror Queen does a fair job with her role. Her acting simply reminds you of the previous horror movies that she has acted in. Karan Singh Grover, also manages to pull off his role nicely. However his acting, despite of the television series he has acted in earlier lacks the luster and strong performance needed.

All in all, should you watch this film? Well, I will simply say: “Watch it if you are a Horror movie Freak!” Else, simply drop the idea and enjoy the weekend chilling with your friends.
