Story

Romance, Bromance and a lot of bullets! The story of Kill Dill is about two abandoned brother-like-friends Dev (Ranveer Singh) and Tutu (Ali zafar). They meet the local gangster Bhaiyaji (Govinda) and then become professional killers. Enter Disha (Parineeti) into Dev’s life and the story takes a twist. Rest of the story is about Kill Vs Dill… so, any guesses who wins??

Review

We have seen Gunday previously and now Kill Dill is all on the same track. Ranveer and Ali are two friends, more like brothers who are abandoned in their teens. They meet Govinda (surprisingly the same guy who played hero roles in the 90’s) a local gangster who trains them to become professional assassins, but a bit fashionista assassins. The duo love showing off their leather jackets and glares, along with their cheesy dialogues. All goes well until Parineeti enters into the plot and takes away the heart of Dev. The rest of the story is simply about Dev and Disha, their romance, fun and the try of getting away from the land of goons.

The story is nothing new. You have seen it in the past, under the same banner of Yash Raj films. And yes, when you watch it, make sure you keep logic out of context. It’s just the characters that you will really enjoy. Ali Zafar does a good job in a serious role, esp as we have seen him in comedy roles previously. Ranveer and Parineeti’s chemistry steals the show. Every time they are on the screen, you can see them do the magic. Govinda does a splendid job as Bhaiyaji, the bad guy.

The songs are also surprisingly good, thanks to Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Over all, the movie is watchable. At least better than some of the recent flicks that need no mention here.
