Story

The name is Shibani Shivaji Roy! A Senior Police inspector in the Mumbai Crime Branch, Shibani(Rani Mukherjee) has a happy little family comprising just of her husband Dr. Bikram Roy and a niece named Meera. IT is then that she comes across a case of missing girl, who is later known to have been kidnapped by the human trafficking mafia. The case slowly unearths a closely wired human trafficking system spread all across over to Delhi. Shibani takes the case personally and challenges to catch the mafia in 30 days. Will she be successful? That is something I won’t reveal here!

Review

Boldness, Perfectly scripted story, great direction and perfect performance by almost everyone! Mardaani is by far one movie you must watch.

Based on one of the most heinous crimes of human trafficking, Mardaani has already attracted quite an attention of its viewers with its bold trailers and dialogues. But does the film really deliver? For me, it hit the bulls-eye right.

The film is short and right to the point which makes it more interesting. The technique of investigation keeps you at the edge of your seats, clueless, hintless and surprised by the revelations. The dialogues are cut-throat interesting and surely get your attention. The action is raw and just the way it is required in the film. Obviously, you don’t want to see cops flying in the air catching a thief after jumping off a building in a realistic film like this one!!!

Rani Mukherjee has always been a strong actress and has proven her herself with films like Lagaa Chunari Mein Daag, No One Killed Jessica and several others. Here in Mardaani, not for one second will she let your mind get distracted from the story. She is bold, strong and can easily shy away any man in India. Every other actor plays their characters well, a special applause for the Tahir Bhasin who plays the role of the human trafficking mafia. He is cruel but smart enough to dodge the police.

Making the movie much more interesting is its impactful background music by Karthik Raja. Overall, Mardaani is a film that is almost perfect and a must watch. Cheers to the team!!! Great job done!!
