PK movie

PK (Peekay)

Story

PK is about a very curious stranger who questions most things we take for granted and in the process built strong relationships – friends and foes alike.

Review

PK is an interesting idea which, in my opinion, had its own flaws with the execution. Starting off as a promising story line, it feels stretchy in parts and leads to the message of “giving up on bling faith” that has been quite a rage in the industry lately.

I feel that a lot of interesting aspects of everyday life could have been explored from a stranger’s perspective which would have made the movie much more interesting and done justice to the length of the movie.

Aamir khan, as usual is a delight to watch. Due credit, however, goes to the entire star cast for great performances and playing their part really well. Anushka Sharma could have used a better stylist though. The “Preity Zinta of Lakshya” look for a journalist seemed like quite a stereotype that did not work. The music is pleasant sounding but doesn’t help the movie at all. Some tight editing, at the least, would have done real good too the movie.

All in all, the movie is good in parts but could have been taken to another level if it wasn’t so stretchy or if the comic aspects of other everyday life would have been explored further.
