Welcome Back

To begin with, the movie should have been titled ‘Why Did You Come’. This sequel of 2007 ‘Welcome’ is a compilation of weak script and silly attempt of slapstick comedy and puns. Even the performances of such a star studded cast lack a punch.

The story is, of course, about life and troubles of Majnu & Udai, and the audience just land up saying to say control audience control. It is lengthy, boring – and almost throughout, has no meat. Well, the only saving grace of this movie was the dexterous pair of Anil ‘never getting old’ Kapoor & Nana ‘can dance now’ Patekar.

John Abraham and Ankita Shrivastava were like Fardeen Khan from prem agaan, do I need to say more? Dimple kapadia was making up for herself and her – in movie daughter – for both glamour and acting. Even seasoned actors like Paresh Rawal and Naseerudin Shah (as Wanted – a blind don) couldn’t make an impact in the movie. The songs of the movie were disastrous and made the movie even more lousy.

There is nothing much to talk about the movie except that this movie was worth watching only for excellent chemistry and comic timings of the maestros playing majnu & Udai. I think it would have been a better movie if only their scenes were shown. We wish that the makers of the movie consider making movies as a Majnu ‘n Udai (like Laurel ‘n Hardy) rather than trying another not-very-welcoming “Welcome” gimmick.

This movie was exactly what “Wanted’ frequently quotes in the movie Mazzak Tha Mazzak!
