Diya aur Bati

Ingredients
  • 1 cup

Method of Preparation
  • Take a heavy based pan and cook the khoya for approx. 2-3 minutes. Cook until the color turns a little pink.
  • Add the coconut powder and sugar. Mix well.
  • Remove the pan from fire and add the cocoa powder. Mix well.
  • Make a smooth dough and add a few tsps of milk incase the dough appears very dry.
  • Mix the dough and make it soft.
  • In another bowl, take the remaining khoya and add to it a few drops of lemon yellow color and a few drops of rose water.
  • Now, shape the cocoa mixture in the shape of diyas and press the rims inside properly to make space for the yellow khoya.
  • Fill the yellow khoya into it and place an almond for the flame.
  • Decorate it with a little silver warq on the borders.
  • There you go, your diya aur bati is ready to be relished.
