Gajar Ka Halwa

Ingredients
  • 1 Kg
  • 100 gm
  • 100 gm
  • 1 ltr
  • 150 gm ( based on your taste)
  • 50 gm
Method of Preparation
  • Grate the carrots and squeeze out the water.
  • In a wok add 50 gm ghee and toss the carrots till they become a little soggy.
  • Then add the milk and let it keep cooking on slow flame till the milk reduces completely.
  • Now add the milkmaid and sugar to the carrot.
  • Cook again till it dries.
  • Now add the remaining ghee and cook till the color changes to dark red.
  • Serve with chopped dry fruits hot or cold. Well, both taste yummy.

In this New Year while I was looking at my refrigerator to indulge in some sweet sin, the crunchy power food – carrots spoke to me from the corner. They said, “Try me today. I am rich in vitamin A, I shall gift you beautiful skin, make you look younger without anti-ageing gels and also protect you from the most dreaded disease, Cancer.” And after listening to all their benefits, I could not resist myself and grabbed the grater and thought of my granny who loved Gajar ka Halwa. And so, here I am sharing my special Gajar ka Halwa recipe with all you food lovers.
