Diwali is a festival of lights, a divine power to remove the darkness and spread brightness. It is to commemorate the return of God Ram to Ayodhya after 14 years of Vanvas, after defeating the evil Ravan. It is about the victory of truth over evil, about spreading happiness in homes and families by sharing sweets, food and clothes. Every Diwali we come across things like how to create homemade lamps, various designs of Rangoli, Recipes for Diwali cuisines and what not? But this Diwali let’s do something different!
Let’s spread smiles and happiness to the needy this year? How? very simple! Just do any 2 of them and see a smile on their faces and of course yours:
1. Pataka Smile!
Let’s spend some money to buy fireworks to street kids and make them smile.
2. It’s Diwali Too!
When you buy new clothes for your children, do not forget your maids children. They will love it!
3. Vidhya Dan!
Adopt a needy child for her/his education.
4. Knowledge is Power!
Take a resolution of sparing minimum 3 hours every week to educate children freely.
5. Our First Home!
Take care of the environment – They too are our family.

6. Appreciate the goodness!
Promise yourself to say Thank you to the people who clean your roads, home and sewage.
7. Fill the heart via stomach!
Feed Hungry people once a week as nothing is so painful as sleeping hungry.
8. Affordable Expensive Smiles!
On Diwali distribute at least 5 packets of Food+clothes+Sweets+Crackers, to bring a smile.
9. It’s About Light!
Distribute Traditional lamps and sweets in every poor house where there’s no light.
10. If They Live, We live!
Plant 100 saplings this Diwali 2016.
