The Subtle Difference between Love And Romance

Love and romance refer to emotions and feelings that are felt, but are yet different. Very often people mistake the momentous physical attraction to love. Before delving into the subject further, it is important to understand that both the emotions are personal and have to be experienced to understand.

Here, one is reminded of the words, “Across my heart I wrote No thoroughfare; But Love came laughing by and said I enter everywhere.” This shows that love just happens, it cannot be forced or asked for; it just happens and is a lifetime affair.

Love is unconditional and can be felt for a person, a pet or for any other matter. One can love an art form like music, dancing or academic achievements.

Love is a commitment. One cannot have such deep liking and adoration for every one we meet, it happens only once. Blessed are those whose love is accepted and reciprocated. The person, who loves is ready to do anything and everything for his love.

Sacrifice and other adjustments are made to make the loved ones happy and comfortable. There are many aspects of love. The ways of expressing the affection and fondness also varies. Romance can also be seen in love when a couple expresses their love with physical gestures or expressions.

Romance on the other hand, may be fleeting. This may transform to love or may end when either partner feels tied down. Romance is an expressive form, which helps the romantic souls to express their feelings. Romance in true love can be an eternal joy. But relations based only on romance and physical attraction may not result into lasting relationships.
