Baking soda is available in every kitchen and is commonly used as a cooking ingredient. This item, also known as ‘sodium bi carbonate’, is an excellent, inexpensive beauty product.

The cosmetic uses of baking soda are many. Moreover, it is safe to use.

Body Deo and anti-perspiration stains

Make a paste of baking soda and H2O. Use the mixture as an under arms application. This removes the perspiration smell and stains.

Enhancing hair wash element

Excessive shampooing and other hair conditioners leave a residue on your delicate tresses. Remove them by adding a bit of baking soda in your regular shampoo. Keep your hair fresh with an occasional baking soda – shampoo wash.

Baking soda can be used as an alternative dry shampooing element. Dust your hair with a few baking powder particles. A bit of combing will keep your hair fluffy.

Tooth Shine and whitener

Use a baking soda – ‘hydrogen peroxide’ mixture in 1 table spoon and ‘five drops hydrogen peroxide’ Add water if needed. Apply the mix on your teeth for a maximum of 300 seconds. Brush and clean your teeth using the regular tooth cleaning product and rinse. A weekly repetition of the procedure will keep your teeth sparkling white.

You may also use a baking soda water solution as a ‘mouth freshener.

Cuticles Healer

If your manicure sessions have damaged the skin near the fingernails, use a baking soda – lukewarm water mixture to massage your finger tips. You may give your hand portion a gentle rub with the same.

Using the lotion to clean and soften your hands occasionally will heal the damage done by hand wash liquids.

Dead cells remover

Baking soda can be used as a nature based ‘exfoliate’. Mix a bit of the powder and water in your palms and rub the mixture on your face. Your face will feel fresh after a wash.

Blackhead remover

Most of the beauty parlors and beauticians use the chemical equivalent of the natural sodium bicarbonate to remove the blackheads after a sauna or a steam face bath. A ‘baking soda-distilled water’ solution is an easy and economic blackhead remover.

Besides all these, adding a bit of baking soda in the water for bathing or for foot bath makes a person feel refreshed and vibrant.
