Review

Gunday is a movie with high action, high emotions and some dhishum dhishum. It is fast and power packed, letting the viewers stay on their seats until the end. The Bromance between Ranveer and Arjun is the USP of the film. The storyline shifts from its romantic track into an investigative flick, when Irrfan enters the story. The characters are very nicely scripted and every actor in the film is given a good role to play. Editing and cinematography in the film is much better than the recent flicks.

Talking of performances, Ranveer Singh is setting the par higher with every film; Arjun Kapoor does exceedingly well, keeping in mind that this is just his third film. Priyanka looks like a 2014 actress while the remaining characters fit perfectly to the 1970’s backdrop. And yes, she does justice to her role. Irrfan Khan is absolutely impeccable and does a great job as the cunning cop.

This is director Ali Abbas’s next film after ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ and has done a great job. The music is also enjoyable and composed beautifully.

Gunday is like all recent masala flicks, but focused more on the bromance of Ranveer and Arjun. So, if you are a true Bollywood lover, then Gunday is your type of film.
