Force 2
force-2-poster

However as is the fate of most of the sequels, Force 2 also fails to match up to the expectations and falls flat. The film is over the top almost throughout with scenes that are typical Bollywood in nature and most of the times unbelievable. By unbelievable what I mean is bullets are being fired endlessly and no one gets killed, this kind of sequences have been done to death in Bollywood and directors seriously need to get a move on from it.

The complete bromance script, filled with comedy, John Abraham’s’ ( Kabir Shergill) surly attitude and adorable under-boy Varun Dhawan ( Junaid Ansari) and a little role of a drug addict Jacqueline Fernandez (Pakiza/Parvati) is nothing but a cliche and a predictable plot. Green signals and all wows to the negative role and the late but tasteful Akshaye Khanna (Wagah). The story revolves around 2 cops John and Varun rescuing Viraj Sharma (Virat Kohli+Rohit Sharma), who is been abducted days before an important match between India and Pakistan. As a villain, Akshaye is a bookie who wants to taint Indian cricket scores to earn raining money, still against Pakistan. The 36 hours of chase in Middle East by our macho-Cuto duo will take you from Sand bazaars, skyscrapers and Harems and yes the Helicopter scene is one of those must watches.

Based on a true story of an Indian farmer Sarbjit Singh who accidentally enters Pakistan borders and was accused for being a spy and a terrorist. The movie is about the fight of a sister who leaves no stone unturned to bring her innocent brother back to India and it’s about that 23 years wrapped on screen for three hours. Sarbjit’s life is a painful tale that every Indian should know, we thank director for bringing it to the mass but disappointed at the same time for not making it a masterpiece.

Baaghi : A Rebel For Love
baaghi

Said to be one of 2016’s most awaited films, Baaghi ruins all your hopes from the movie. The only thing the movie is good at, is its action sequence performed skilfully by Tiger Shroff. And yet again, he proves the point that he can break bones with his hands. But what he really fails at is his ability to act and deliver his lines with emotions. All in all, his acting skills are just as rigid as his 6 or 8 pack abs.

Shah Rukh Khan in double role! Well, we have surely seen in it earlier on the silver screen, but this time, the story is hell a lot different! The trailer of the film seemed very promising and made me add the name of the film in my Must-Watch films for 2016. And yes, I did expect a lot from it! But did the film fulfil my expectations?? Not quiet!

The Jungle Book Movie Review

All childhood memories coming back alive!! Thank you Jon Favreau for making this film for us, for every Indian who watched the cartoon every Sunday on Dordarshan. With the movie almost about to begin, I could literally feel the anxiousness in the air. Every person, kid or an adult eagerly waited for the first historic glimpse of Mowgli and his friends.

Ki & Ka
Ki & Ka

Ki & Ka is an interesting watch. Easy going, as I mentioned, and rich in concept. Leaves you with a lot to think about but doesn’t get your head heavy. Both the lead actors look just perfect. Kareena as Ki looks dynamic and ambitious and finally (and thankfully) has a substantial role to play. Arjun Kapoor, with his great build, gives just the right amount of contrast to what he aims to be. Hats off to him for being so experimental and equally bold to pick up a role such as this and play it with ease.

With Women’s day right around the corner, Director Prakash Jha brings a movie which talks all about Women strength and bravery! Jai Gangaajal is the story of a fearless police officer and how she works against the corrupt politicians. The movie brings out a series of issues, showing frustrated civilians, the poor debt ridden farms and corporate greed. However, the story has no particular direction which makes it a little chaotic.

Overall, the movie has well choreographed action sequences, background music and cinematography. Every actor, including the supporting roles featuring Om Puri, Soha Ali khan, Tisca Chopra, Manoj Joshi, Aanchal Munjal, and others did a great job in the film. What the film lacks is a good storyline.
