NH 10 – Review

We have just been through the Women’s Day celebrations and now are watching this absolutely impeccable woman based movie, a not so filmi one, that actually pumps you up with too much adrenaline inside. Yes, NH10 is a non-stop, thriller that keeps you at the edge of your seat for a good two hours.

Frankly, there was not much that one could have expected from a film that was not publicized well. The trailers and the songs simply popped up about 2 weeks ago and not even Book my show showed the right releasing dates. But, once you start watching the film, you completely get engulfed into the lives of Mira and Arjun, characters played by Anushka and Neil.

A small peek into the story: Mira and Arjun are two well established professionals with high income and no kids residing in Gurgaon. Things change when Mira almost gets carjacked one night while driving through the lonely streets of Gurgaon. With the police playing their regular, Casual Mode No Complaint roles, Mira is shaken to her soul by the incident. That’s when the real story of NH10 begins. Arjun takes Mira to a small holiday on her birthday, simply trying to cheer her up. But, instead get into knee deep problems, all unwrapping one after the other on NH10.

The film is violent but you will fancy watching Anushka’s performance in it. A special mention to her courage and acting skills here: NH10 is a dark and violent film that depicts reality. It is a film that not may actresses would prefer doing, especially in an industry where heroines are considered supporting actors and eye-candies. Anushka proves her strength as an actor and also a bold producer. Indeed she has gambled well with her reputation as an actress and her money.

But can Bollywood films be Perfect at all? Not quite. The script does have loopholes which will catch your attention. But it all gets covered up with Anushka’s and Neil’s performances, superb editing and Classic direction by Navdeep Singh. So, yes… it’s a thumb’s up from me to the film.
