Review

What do you expect from Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the director of excellent movies like Khamoshi, Hum Dil chuke Sanam and Black? Well, Ram-Leela is believed to be one of the best movies made so far. The plot is just like Shakespear’s story, Romeo-Juliet, but is based on Gujarat. Bhansali adds his artistic, rather magical touch to make the movie unique and excellent.

Deepika Padukone (Leela) belongs to the Sanada clan who falls in love with Ranveer Singh (Ram) who belongs to the Rajadi enemy clan. The two clans have been fighting against each other for the last 500 years and simply look for occasions to pull the triggers of their huge rifles.

The bullets fly, a lot of blood flows and the simple Bahus of the families become victims of the fights. Amidst the warfare, Ram and Leela feel their love, kiss and cuddle each other. The chemistry between both Ranveer and Deepka is commendable and is the strength of the movie. You will feel the love or rather their lustful love string between them every time they gaze at each other. Bhansali uses their chemistry perfectly to portray their love-hate relationship on the screen.

Shot in vintage palaces, desserts and well designed artistic sets, you will surely awe every moment of the movie. The precision and storyline will not let you lose interest for a single minute.

The music, already a hit, will make you enjoy the feeling of the movie more. Performance wise, Deepika is simply breathtaking, both in her looks and performance. Ranveer looks equally dashing in his 6 packs and proves his worth in the movie. Supriya Pathak Kapur and Richa Chadda, both show their experience and talent to further make the storyline perfect. So, buy your tickets and enjoy this excellent movie with your popcorn bucket.
