Force 2

Force 2 is the sequel of Force which was released in 2011 and was well received due to its amazing action sequences and gripping screenplay. Both John Abraham and Vidyut Jamwal suited their respective roles and played it almost to perfection.

However as is the fate of most of the sequels, Force 2 also fails to match up to the expectations and falls flat. The film is over the top almost throughout with scenes that are typical Bollywood in nature and most of the times unbelievable. By unbelievable what I mean is bullets are being fired endlessly and no one gets killed, this kind of sequences have been done to death in Bollywood and directors seriously need to get a move on from it.

John Abraham with his perfectly chiseled body performs the action sequences with utmost sincerity and they are shot well too. He plays the role of the cop pretty well and makes it believable to a certain extent. As far as Sonakshi Sinha is concerned, her role is underwritten.

One of the major highlights of the film is Tahir Raj Bhasin who plays the role of antagonist with finesse. He has carried on his good form from his debut film ‘Mardaani’. He is cunning and plays the role with style.

Treat to the eyes are the locations. Budapest looks beautiful and the cinematography makes it look even more beautiful.

Force 2 despite a few decent performances fails to impress due to its underdeveloped script. Women Planet gives Force 2, 2/5 stars.
