Mehrab Irani is the General Manager, Investments, at Tata Investment Corporation, Mumbai. He has a total of 15 years of experience in investment research, portfolio management, investment banking, dealing and global research on US and European financial services sector and credit markets. Mehrab has diversified experience of both equity and the fixed income markets including research, dealing and portfolio management. On the research side, he has done research on different sectors in equities and also on fixed income markets including publishing of various reports. On the dealing front, he has varied experience of dealing in different instruments ranging from equities to fixed income which includes Government Securities, corporate bonds, money market instruments and call/reverse repos.

He has been responsible for managing the portfolios of third party (mutual fund) and also proprietary money (corporate). He also has experience of investing in mutual funds in different categories including equity, fixed income and cash management. Working at Delloitte in the Audit department, he has learned sharp acumen on reading and interpreting financial statements. He has also done research on the US and European Financial Services sector including investment banks, money center banks, commercial banks, retail banks, AMCs and investment companies, brokerage houses, insurance companies, independent research service providers, thrifts etc. He is also responsible for credit research on US and European companies.
