Shivraj Gaekwad here! I started my Jewelry design journey at the age of 11 by making earrings out of common household materials for my mother as unexpectedly as possible. I always had the inkling for good design and and how things are made. I studied Jewelry Design & Manufacture along with Diamond Grading and Gemmology basics at The Indian Diamond Institute – Surat and received the Presidents Gold Medal for Excellence in the field of Jewelry Design as a student. After training with Intergold – One of India’s Premier Jewelry Companies, I pursued a stint as Luxury Jewelry Salon Manager on-board International cruise ships, managing the fine jewelry department on-board.

Feeling a bit creatively tied up, I decided to quit that job and returned back to my home city – Vadodara, to setup Shiv Tantra Creations, my own jewelry designing and manufacturing workshop. Currently we are manufacturing a wide range of products from Fine Jewelry to fashion jewelry and home decor.

I was awarded “The President’s Gold Medal” for Excellence in the field of Jewelry Design as a student in 2006. Later went on to become an entrepreneur and set up my own firm and now I manufacture a wide array handcrafted products. I am also associated with various teaching workshops through NGO’s for teaching making of jewelry, handicrafts, bamboo articles and basic skills to village people, tribal, low income group ladies and students.

I believe imparting knowledge does not decrease your own and in-fact increases it because every person you meet or interact with, teaches you something and grows you in some way.
