Clue – The New Family Planning App

We all love our families. But, starting a family is not quite as easy as it is usually believed to be. Some women conceive easily, while most others take a lot of time and medical help to conceive. In such conditions, understanding the fertility cycle proves to be a great boon, especially to women who wish to plan their babies. Clue, an app designed to help you understand your fertile days, is the latest addition to a range of apps that are designed for women to know their fertility cycle.

This new Berlin based free app has gone live and is now available in Apple’s app store. The application is backed by Hoxton Ventures, London, and will provide Quantified Self-type tracking tool for helping women understand their fertility. The app will prompt the female user to enter details regarding her menstrual cycle, cramps, mood, body temperature and a series of other indicators that will help the application predict the most fertile days for conceiving a the baby.

The new application will only calculate the data provided to pinpoint the fertile days in a month for planning a baby. But according to the founder Ida Tin, the application will be updated and by next month will analyze the data provided with the information provided by other women to perfectly predict the conceiving dates for a woman.

The app will use algorithms and also data points for identifying the fertile days of a woman. According to Rival Ovuline, the founder of this app, the algorithms used will use 2.5 million data achieved from 55,000 users. The application will be available free, while Ovuline charges $50 for his application. The reason is that the app is based on the hardware component which is yet to be launched.
