In yet another horrifying act, a 51 year old Danish woman was gang-raped by 8 men in Delhi. The woman lost her way back to her hotel in Pahargung, when she was attacked by 8 men and was raped at knife-point on the night of 14th January.

The victim approached a few men to ask for directions near the New Delhi Railway Station after her visit to a museum. But, the men instead of guiding her took her to a secluded area and then raped her.

According to the police sources, all the eight attackers have been identified. The identity of the woman cannot be disclosed due to legal matters. According to her, the men held her from evening 4 to 7pm and then abandoned her. She took a rickshaw and reached back to the safety of her hotel. According to the owner, the lady was beaten and also robbed. Amit Bahl, the owner of Amax hotel says, “When she came, it was miserable”. He said that she was crying and was not in a good shape.

The newly formed Arvind Kejriwal government has not yet commented on this case. This is the second case in the recent time, after a Polish woman was drugged and then raped by a taxi driver in New Delhi who was visiting the country with her 2 year old daughter. These cases show that though the government has changed, the scenario in Delhi still remains to be the same as it was earlier. Women even today are not safe and need security.
