Veteran actor Farooq Sheikh who was in Dubai for a concert, suffered a fatal heart attack on Friday night. Sheikh was 65 years old. One of the family members disclosed the news, stating “He has passed away”. No other details were revealed.

The body of the actor will be brought to Mumbai around evening after the formalities are completed in Dubai.

Farooq was born on 25th of March 1948 and made his Bollywood debut with movie named ‘Garm Hava’ in 1973. He made remarkable contribution not only in the film industry but also in the Theater and Television industry. He is best known for his work in films like Chashme Baddoor, Noorie, Shatranj ke Khiladi and Kissi Se Na Kehna. His Television show “Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai” was a big hit in which he used to interview famous Bollywood celebrities.

His last film was Club 60 which was released recently. Before that he was seen in Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani as father of superstar Ranbir Kapoor.
