21 year old Delhite, Koyal Rana was crowned Femina Miss India World 2014. The event was held at YashRaj Studio in Andheri on Saturday.

Top five finalists were asked the same question after taking each one aside. The host of the event Riteish Deshmukh asked, “In these past 30 days with the Miss India Organization which values or virtues have you learnt from your fellow contestants that you will take back with you?”

To this Koyal answered, “We had a beautiful batch of girls this time… So vibrant, dynamic, professional when required yet lots of fun. They had both beauty and talent.” The judges were impressed by her answer and thus she won the title of Femina Miss India World 2014. Jhataleka Malhotra from Mumbai was announced first runner-up and Gail D’Silva from Goa was second runner-up.

The event started with a small film of winning moments of all the former beauties. Riteish Deshmukh was the host of the show. The singer Mika Singh did a medley of some famous numbers from Bollywood. Many stars performed during the event. Shahid Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Shraddha Kapoor and Honey Singh were amongst them.

The participants wore flattering costumes for every round. The costumes were designed by famous designers Gauracv Gupta, Malini Ramani, Rajesh and Anirban.

The event was judged by some of the famous and well-known personalities Malaika Arora Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Aditi Rao Hydari, Abhay Deol, Vidyut Jamwal, Manish Malhotra, Honey Singh, former Miss World 2013 Megan Yang and Vijender Singh
