The eleven golden rules that children teach about weight loss:

1. Every action is play. Instead of doing your exercises in a routine and boring manner; try to innovate. Modify or alter your workout to be fun. Set your targets and try to better your performance. Compete with yourself.

2. Why trot when you can gallop? There are always so many occasions each day to help you keep fit and shed some weight. Run the extra mile with ease and a racing spirit.

3. Having your choice of healthy food. Consume your favorite healthy diet moderately. This will help to maintain your weight.

4. Laughter is the best medicine. Laughing whole heartedly, with the innocence of a child will keep your blood pressure normal, increase your alertness and achieve your targets. Keep smiling and joyful. This will make you feel energetic.

5. All work and no play will make you dull. Take time. Take a break from your busy schedule and relax. Rest a while or do something different from your routine work. It will make you feel fresh and fit.

6. Make your food colourful and appealing. Eating a wholesome diet will help you shed weight gradually.

7. Meet your pals. Children are pulled by their playmates. Likewise you too can catch up with a friend or two whenever you get a chance. Have group workout sessions; it’s more fun.

8. Don’t be cooped up indoors. Whenever you get a chance, plan activities away from home. Breathe fresh air and feel adventurous. Feel the thrill of life.

9. Be yourself. Feel free to do what you like and enjoy yourself whenever you can. Shed your inhibitions. Remove the masks that you tend to wear in your professional surroundings.

10. Nothing is impossible. Have the confidence to achieve. Feel as confident as the little ones. Live without fear.

11. Be childlike. Most of us have forgotten the joy of innocence. Bring it back into your life.

If each and every one learns these lessons from the children, then weight loss and maintaining a balanced weight is very easy and achievable.
