Well, this is not a joke! According to a recent survey held about what men really want in their ideal wives. The online poll received a huge 8,500 plus responses which clearly indicated that men want a partner who is not just a good friend, but also shares the same tastes as him. Here is a brief of all the points that received maximum votes.

Career oriented girls

83.5% of all the voters stated that they want wives who are equally career oriented as them. For a few, it doesn’t sound apt to stop their wives from working after marriage. Usually, all working men leave their home at 8 in the morning only to return back by evening 7 or sometimes 9 pm. During this time a previously working woman who after marriage has stopped work, will surely go mad due to the change in her lifestyle. Moreover, it is good to have a double income in the house which allows the partners to invest for a brighter future and enjoy a quality lifestyle. Also, a working woman understands corporate work-pressure and its related issues. This allows the partners to share their problems and sort them out mutually.

Cricket fans and not Player fans

76.6% men voted for partners who love cricket. When we talk of cricket, men always end up counting the wickets and runs, while women are seen cheering their favorite players. In India, cricket is a religion followed by every single man, and also a few women. Moreover, with the IPL season almost about to begin, we can see men already planning their work-pressure based on the match schedules. In such situations, having a partner who enjoys cricket equally would add more thrill to one’s life. However, for women cricket is not always about the game. It is more about the players, their style and looks. It sounds quite lame when women start discussing about the cuteness quotient of the players.

Follow news regularly

After career and cricket, 73.8% men admitted that having a partner who enjoys watching news and the latest world issues would be great. Men love watching news and staying updated about the latest world crisis conditions. Having a partner who follows news, at least the main topics would help the partners enjoy and share light discussions with each other.

Corporate colleagues cannot be soulmates

Now this is interesting. 66.1% men said that they don’t want partners working in the same firm. It is quite dangerous working with your partner at work. For instance, getting increment, sharing a laugh with other female colleagues, being scolded in front of your partner and competition for promotion, are all issues that can lead to problems in a married life. Instead, working in different firms, allows partners to talk about their work freely at home.

A huge total of 80% men admitted that they hate women being obsessed by the annoying reality TV shows. Most of the reality TV shows are not even real. They are formatted and followed like-wise. It sounds silly to cut off calls or avoid answering to people, just because your favorite Reality show is starting on the TV. Life has enough drama and there is no space for men, especially for those glycerin tear drops being shed in the daily soaps.

Glued to the phone

Women are always on their phones, and this is one thing that irritates men most. Almost 78.2% men find this habit very irritating in women. Think of the money and time wasted on the ruthless discussions and advices usually exchanged on phones. Instead, do something productive without discussing about life or issues of other people.

Uploading pictures of food

Now this is one factor that was found irritating not only for the men folks, but also for women. 36.5% women said that they hate it when their partners upload food pictures, while 74.7% men mentioned this as an irritating habit of almost all females. Cook the food and enjoy eating it, rather than clicking it from all possible angles.
