QUEEN

What Women Should Learn from Kangana’s film “Queen”?

Women! What is the life of an Indian woman about? Before marriage, it revolves around her parents and siblings; and post-marriage it revolves around her in-laws and the new adopted family. But, where is the life of the real woman? Who is she?

Recently launched Queen, a spectacular movie made by Kangana Ranaut and director Vikas Bahl, shows you the evolution and self-discovery of a simple girl, Rani. The story was very simple and basic, but shows you how a middle-class shy girl discovers the world, and more importantly her ownself. Apart from being just an entertainment flick, Queen teaches us a number of things that will help Indian women overcome their day-to-day issues. This article here, briefs you about these points that I, as a woman learnt.

1. You and Only You are your biggest happiness
Life is not that sick weekly soap where women find happiness in the joy of their family and husband. Never depend on anyone for happiness. The real happiness is within you and other things or people around you. And yes, you need not be a hot fire-brigade or meet a handsome hunk to stay happy. Just stay the way you are and find happiness within you.

2. Discover yourself
Have you seen yourself in the mirror? Well, it’s time you check yourself in the mirror of reality. Explore yourself, travel new places, meet people and enjoy the experiences. This will help you know yourself better than your parents or husband. Moreover, this will help develop your personality and your outlook towards the huge world outside. So, before you meet your “Mr. Perfect” and bestow your entire life for him, you better meet your own-self.

3. Life is not about the “Happily ever after” tag
Every fairytale we have heard or read as children ends with, “And, they lived happily ever after”. Well, Life is not always a fairytale. Queen was not a love story about a beautiful girl and her handsome husband. So, learn to handle unfortunate situations as a part of life, and move on.

4. Tragedies are not the dead-end
Dumped or betrayed, tragedies in life are not a dead-end. They have something more to offer you. Strength to Live Life Better! In Queen, when Rani gets dumped just the night before her marriage, she fights back her tragedy by picking up her all-packed bags and leaves for her Honeymoon alone where she learns about the beauty of life and friends.

5. Freedom is Important
Man or Woman, you need a little Freedom. Get out of the comfort zone, release those clutches that make you safe and push yourself to face the reality of the world. This will make you independent, strong and surely brave to stand alone, every place you go. And above all, it will connect you to your inner-self.

6. Girls and Friends are always there with you
Married or single, your friends and girls will never leave you. In Queen, Rani meets Vijaylakshmi who uplifts Rani from her grievances. She turns the shy Rani into a stronger and confident girl that she never knew existed within her. Rani also finds true friends in her 3 male flat-mates. So, girls or boys, never underestimate the value of your friends.

7. You are a Woman, the Stronger Sex
For years now, Women have been considered the weaker sex. In reality, Women are the Stronger sex with the ability to suffer every pain without a single complaint. It is a woman who has the ability to give birth to a new life, after suffering the pain of delivery which equals to the pain of 20 bones breaking at the same time. So girl, you are Strong, infact Stronger than any man in the whole world. It all depends on how you choose to live your life.
