This unique trail is first of its kind in the state and is initiated by Vadodara Police, so that women can feel safer in the city. After sending this type of message in case anything went wrong it will be easy for police to track you down and find out what happened.

According to Police Commissioner Satishkumar Sharma, while travelling through auto, bus or taxi women can send the vehicle number or a photograph of number plate along with the driver’s photographer to the given number on Whatsapp or SMS.

Women can make themselves more secure with this service. The police will note down the details given by women travelling in any sort of transportation vehicle. This will help police to get more information under any undue circumstances. The police commissioner has insisted women to take advantage of this service. He confirmed that women can now send SMS or sending message on Whatsapp on +919099981095.

Earlier this number was use by people to send information and photographers regarding any issues with traffic. But now women can use this number for their safety. This type of service is being held in Mumbai right now. Vadodara Police has also started this service to make women more safe and secure.

This service is available 24 hours. Vadodara Police has sent the notice to all the auto-rickshaw, bus and taxi drivers to write down their mobile numbers as well as their vehicle number in a way visible to the passengers.
