Stale cakes

Stale cakes? Please Don’t Throw!

You had a party last night and there are a lot of leftover cake. What are you going to do? Throw it away? Give it to your pet? Or what?

Here is what you should be doing, You should use it to make something new. Remember Food is the most valuable product known to humanity. So from now on you should try any of these recipes to reuse your leftover cake.

Take a processor or blender and crumble the cake into small pieces. You can also do this with your own bare hands. Then add a good amount of butter cream icing (in case you don’t have sugar icing you can actually blend in some sugar into butter cream). Now use your hands to shape the mixture into small balls. You can create small as well as medium balls, but whatever you do make sure that the mixture is even. Butter cream icing and the crumbled cake should be in 1:3 ratio, respectively.

Then place these balls on a plate or sterilized foil and refrigerate them for about 15 to 20 minutes. Now use some chocolate sauce or liquid chocolate to apply a coating on these cake balls. Some people love to candy them by inserting wooden skewers through them. While I just coated them with chocolate and refrigerated them for about 2 hours (until the chocolate settled on them).

My cake balls are ready and I can refrigerate it for next 7-10 days. Isn’t that the best thing to do with leftover cakes?
