Trip to Thailand- Most Memorable 15 Days of My Life!

Dear All, We are discussing different experiences here at womenpla.net. Today I thought to share some of the special moments of my life by taking you to my most special trip to Thailand!

Thailand, an amazing place with real beauty of nature! I would strongly like to say, please do not mislead others by highlighting the place only for the prostitution, as the place is having great natural gifts of Blue watered beaches, spiritual temples, Golden Buddha and lot more other things.

thailand-auto-rickshaw

Let me start with my first day at Bangkok. We stayed at Sukhumvit. It is a real nice place with all facilities. You will find all type of local transport options there- like Auto rickshow (they call them TukTuk) , two wheeler taxi, trains, cabs and more.

golden buddha

Officially known as Phra Phuttha Maha Suwan Patimakon, the golden Buddha is world’s largest Buddha statue that weighs almost 5.5 metric tones and stands up to 3 meters tall. For a long time, it was lost and got covered with plaster stucco in an abandoned temple. Later, somewhere in 1930s, when the statue was moved, the plaster broke off and revealed the real beauty of the statue.

bangkok temples

Bangkok, the capital of Thailand is famous for its beautiful and spiritual temples. Their architecture, designs, coloured glasses and intricately embedded gold work add mesmerizing beauty to the temples. It is due to these reasons that Bangkok is also called the City of Angels. The 7 best temples of Bangkok include, Wat Arun, Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Pho, Wat Benchamabophitr, Wat Mahathat Yuwaratrangsarit, Wat Saket and Wat Traimit.

koh samui

One of the most beautiful islands I have ever been to, Koh samui is truly paradise on earth. It is the 2nd largest island in Thailand and located just about 296 miles from Bangkok. You can go around the beautiful beaches, coral reefs, tropical green gardens and exotic hotels to pamper yourself. It is one destination you would love visiting again and again.

Mummified Monk

Far away from the beautiful beaches and travellers of Koh Samui, rests in peace the world’s famous mummified monk in the temple of Wat Khunaram. Displayed in a standing glass casket, the mummified monk (Loung Pordaeng) is surrounded by beautiful flowers, fruits, candles and incense sticks offerings of followers and visitors. According to the Thai culture, the body of Loung Pordaeng is meant to be worshipped by people even after death and is believed to be an opportunity of being reborn in the better life.

Night life at Koh Samui

During the day time, the island is as peaceful as the ocean. But, as it darkens, you will see the colourful bars and restaurants all along the beaches and streets welcoming you to enjoy their great food, music and drinks. You will also find throbbing night clubs playing great music. Bar Solo, Full Circle Club and the Islander are the favourites.

thai culture

Confused? This is thai culture, people from the world come to the beach, write their wishes on the fire baloons and it will fly to the sky. Its amazing to see the view. I loved that and missing Samui!

Big Buddha temple

The Wat Phra Yai temple in Koh Samui is one of the major tourist attractions of the island. Also known as the Big Buddha temple, the Golden Buddha idol at Wat Phra Yai is almost 12 meter tall and can be seen from several kilometres away. If you have any unfulfilled wishes, buy candles and light them in the temple to see your wish come true.

places

Well, I could not cover lots and lots of memories here, but can keep on writing on Samui! It’s a Lovely place for Thailand trip.

I have not covered their food, amazing shopping options and more here. I will come up with that too later on!

Based on my experience, do not choose the 4 days 5 nights trip to Thailand – But make your own trip that covers, Bangkok and Samui especially. I have been to Pataya and was annoyed for not finding any special moment from the place. That is too commercialized.
