Moong Dal Vada
Ingredients
- 1 Cup
- 1/2 Cup
- A Handful
- 1
- 1 tbsp
- 1tsp
- 1/2 tsp
- 1/2 tsp
- A pinch
- 1/8 tsp
- To Taste
- To Deep Fry
Method of Preparation
- Wash and soak dal overnight or until it swells up
- Place the moong dal in the mixer grinder and pulse into a coarse paste. Add little water if required
- Add all the above ingredients into the dal batter and mix well
- Add soda bicarbonate towards the end and mix well. The batter will be light and airy by now.
- Heat oil in a frying pan
- The oil needs to be really hot for the vadas to come out crispy and non-oily
- With the help of your fingertips drop the batter little by little into the oil and fry until golden brown.
- Serve hot with green chutney.
