Moong Dal Vada

  • 1/8 tsp

  • To Deep Fry
Method of Preparation
  • Wash and soak dal overnight or until it swells up
  • Place the moong dal in the mixer grinder and pulse into a coarse paste. Add little water if required
  • Add all the above ingredients into the dal batter and mix well
  • Add soda bicarbonate towards the end and mix well. The batter will be light and airy by now.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan
  • The oil needs to be really hot for the vadas to come out crispy and non-oily
  • With the help of your fingertips drop the batter little by little into the oil and fry until golden brown.
  • Serve hot with green chutney.
